The Young & Responsible Network International which started as The Responsible Youth Network International has over the past year undertaken various activities which have yielded various achievements.
The Network, since its inception has made excellence her hallmark and has been committed to doing her possible best to add value as well as providing detailed and accurate information to advance the life of young people and also to provide information paramount to the holistic development of the youth. Listed below are some activities and achievements of the Network.

The Responsible Youth Summit

The Young and Responsible Network International held her first Responsible Youth Summit on the 28th of September 2019 in the Republic Hall Dining Hall at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi with the theme “What I wish I knew before entering the University”.
The second Summit which was held on March 7, 2020 had the Theme “Buy the Future” which was expounded by The Rt. Rev. Prof. Osei Safo-Kantanka our guest speaker. Participants were made to understand the fact that, the best way to predict the future is to create it with our actions today and that our actions and inactions today will determine the outcome of our future. Participants were really impacted by the summits as they testified.

Virtue of the Month

A number of Virtues are expounded every month to encourage members and our followers to inculcate them and apply them in their daily living. Since the beginning of the year, some of the virtues that have been elucidated are orderliness, execution, commitment, diligence, discipline, integrity, courage, etc. Members and a good number of our followers have testified about how these virtues have impacted their lives and shaped their general perspective about life.

Before the pandemic, the Network was holding her Young and Responsible Clinics at the Independence Hall Chapel, KNUST every other Saturday (that is every two weeks). The Network has now resorted to virtual meetings on Sundays at 7pm on our WhatsApp Platform.
The Network, on Sundays comes our way with inspiring topics to improve the lives of her members. Topics on Purpose driven life, Personal Branding, Effectiveness, Time Management, Entrepreneurship, Choices, Balance, Temperaments, Habits, Dealing with Procrastination, Financial intelligence, Breaking Addictions, How to grow Spiritually, Self-awareness, etc. have all been tackled during these clinics to ensure the holistic growth and development of members. Members have testified about the impact these topics have made in their lives, how it has shaped their mindset and perspective about life and how these topics have influenced their daily living.

Friday Presentations

On Fridays we have our departments (Spiritual, Academics, Personal Development, Community service and Career & Entrepreneurship) coming our way with insightful topics to help create a balance and holistic growth. Topics such as Effective Quiet time, Balancing academics with extracurricular activities, Patriotism, Building a business from scratch (Ideation to start) etc. have been treated.

Month of Spiritual Emphasis

With Christlikeness being a core value, the Network set the month of May apart to bring her members to the understanding that, growing spiritually is as equally important as their physical growth, “for we are not physical beings having a spiritual experience, we are spiritual beings having a physical experience”. Topics such as The Concept of Spiritual Growth and Development, The Place of Prayer and Fasting in Spiritual Growth, The Place of the Word and Meditation in Spiritual Growth were treated. Also, counselling sessions, prayer session, healing and deliverance sessions were held as part of the activities of the Spiritual Emphasis Month.

Schools Outreach

In our quest to also impact our young ones and instill the virtue of responsibility in them, The Young & Responsible Network International embarked on an outreach to some schools within the Oforikrom Municipality in the Ashanti Region. Some of the schools that were visited include Ayeduase R/C JHS, Kotei R/C Primary B. Plans are far advanced to visit more Junior High Schools in the next academic year.

Young & Responsible Leadership Academy

A maiden Leadership Academy was organized from the 1st to 15th of September, 2020 to help identify, enhance and develop the leadership potentials of participants. Topics such as Self Discovery and self-concept, purpose driven life, developing a life plan, goal setting and goal getting, time management system, the concept of self-improvement, principles of personal effectiveness and self-management, personal growth and development, self-discipline and character development, managing personal finances, etc. were treated. About 80 young people successfully went through The Basic Leadership Course and graduated with our Certificate.

Young & Responsible Entrepreneurs

This is the entrepreneurship training hub for up and coming entrepreneurs. This arm provides the platform for mentoring, training and networking of young entrepreneurs. Topics such as Business Model Canvas, Basic Entrepreneurial concept have been treated so far to achieve our mission and vision.
In conclusion, we are grateful to God, Management, Resource Persons, Members and everyone that played a role in this success story. Our doors are opened for partnerships with youth groups and movements, churches, schools, communities, and sponsors.
