Life presents in stages and phases, each phase coming with its own level of privilege and corresponding responsibilities. Entry into the tertiary school serves as a leap into destiny-modulating phase of one’s life and many people have had their lives utterly affected either positively or negatively during this phase of their lives.

This book, Start Right, is written in simple tone, with an easy-to-read approach to help one understand and appreciate the very rubrics of what the demands are for a successful tertiary life. It is intended to arm the young person and holistically prepare him or her to integrate harmoniously into tertiary life and prospects.
Many students have the mistaken and erroneous belief that enrolling in a tertiary institution is akin to a bird that has escaped captivity and is now free to do whatever it wants. The entire premise of this book revolves around gaining a better understanding of the concept of freedom. It addresses issues such as misplaced priorities, poor planning, negative habits and attitudinal tendencies, poor personal leadership, complacency, and a variety of other pertinent issues that prevent young people and tertiary students from achieving their goals.

This book is intended to assist young people, particularly students, in setting a good foundation for their lives by creating a strong, objective, and optimistic foundation that will serve them with positive outcomes throughout their lives and tertiary education in order to avoid making a variety of unnecessary mistakes that could cause one’s life to veer off course.
